PaddlePower Courses

These courses encourage children to work through a number of exercises to gain ticks in their books towards completing their award. The first two of which are Passport and Discover, these can be achieved through intensive courses or over a series of sessions. The books are designed to track progress and so can be taken away and worked on later.

Therefore the PaddlePower course can be completed in different ways; through our after school clubs, holiday training weeks or bespoke courses booked for a group, ask us if you would like any further information about these.

Holiday Training Weeks

Take part in a week of paddlesport training with like minded people that enjoy a challenge. PaddlePower Passport and Discovery weeks are run during the summer for people working towards their Passport and Discovery Awards. Four days for Passport or five days for Discover –  learn new and perfect your current skills in canoes and kayaks. These booklets are designed to be used over a period of time allowing children to record new skills whenever they paddle with a BCU qualified coach.

PaddlePower Passport (Monday – Thursday) comprises of four progressive levels that guide the new paddler from the initial ‘Start’ session through various topics. These encourage each paddler to achieve recognisable standards in a range of skills and knowledge. These awards have been designed with children in mind.

PaddlePower Discover (Monday – Friday)comprises of four progressive levels that encourage the young paddler to focus on particular techniques, skills and areas of knowledge across the sport. These will significantly develop competencies and raise their standards of achievement in Paddlesport. These awards have been designed with children in mind.
